Skill Builder For Veterans

Skill Builder for Veterans

Starting in January 2025, the Brain Injury Alliance of Vermont (BIAVT) is offering a unique program for Vermont veterans who are survivors of brain injury. This program is designed for veterans motivated to improve specific skills that may have become challenging after their injury.

A dedicated BIAVT Skill Builder provider will work one-on-one with each participant to assess their strengths, identify challenges, and develop personalized strategies for building key skills, ultimately aiming for greater independence and self-sufficiency.

This six-month pilot program will provide participants with an average of 3-4 hours of individual guidance each month. The program will serve 8-10 veterans with brain injuries in Vermont, with the goal of expanding to serve all eligible individuals statewide.

Participants will also complete homework assignments outside of their meetings, which will be reviewed during each session.
