
Join hundreds of participants for a fun and friendly community oriented event. Stroll a winding route through Oakledge Park walkway and bike path. Walk with family, friends or co-workers. Vermont in May can be unpredictable, you just never know what to expect so dress appropriately. Walk route is wheelchair and handicapped accessible so all participants of various abilities have the opportunity to participate.
When you complete your trek enjoy a wonderful finish line celebration filled with food, drinks and great entertainment. Show your support for the thousands of Vermont individuals and families affected by brain injury, because a brain injury can happen to anyone...anywhere....anytime.
Day of Event Schedule
9:00 a.m. Walker check-in begins. Turn in your collection envelope, take team photos, connect with friends! A light continental breakfast will be available from 9:00-10:00 am
DON'T FORGET TO BRING YOUR COLLECTION ENVELOPE with all pledges sealed inside and requested information filled in.
9:50 a.m. Start stretching and warming up! Kick-off celebration follows!
10:00 a.m. We're off!
At the finish line...You will receive your certificate along with a big thank you cheer from the Red Carpet Cheerers! Then enjoy a delicious lunch donated by local businesses and served by amazing walk volunteers starting at 11:45 a.m.! Spend time with old friends, make
new friends or join the festivities by cheering on other walkers as they cross the finish line.
Contingency Plans
Remember: All walks are held in rain and sunshine! So wear appropriate clothing--dress for the weather. Under most conditions the walk will continue. In the event of severe weather the BIA staff may temporarily stop participants from walking or cancel the Walk. Check our website or call the BIA office the morning of the walk for instructions.
